The first picture shows what we left in. Weather forecast was for severe weather through our riding range but primarily later in the day. So we figured we'd gut it out and try to get to the western edge of all this stuff before the thunderstorms could really blossom. We were packed up and out the door by 6:30. And then, believe it or not, we only had minor rain showers all morning. The positive side was it kept the temp down in the mid 70's. When we broke clear of the rain it zoomed up to 87 by 1:00 and still very humid.Cell phone still happy. Check out the one picture that has the rainbow. Tomorrow we're into New Mexico and up towards The Grand Canyon.
Tidbit of the day: Connie and I were eating dinner and strike up a conversation with a fella and his wife. He tells me that his dad used to ride a motorcycle for General Patton's army in WW2 delivering messages. After the war, his dad is called by one of his fellow motorcycle riders who now lives in California and informed that they are starting a motorcycle club called, "Hell's Angels" named after one of Patton's Armored divisions called, "Hell on Wheels". Anyone verify this?
